Biomedical Imaging Research Unit
The Olympus SLIDEVIEW VS200 is an automated slide-scanner with a range of transmitted light techniques available as well as fluorescence imaging. It has a slide-loader capable of loading up to 180 slides, automatic sample detection (including deep learning) and an integrated barcode reader.
Both transmitted light and fluorescence light sources are LED. For fluorescence, the model is the XYLIS XT720S.
In addition to slide trays for standard slides, there are 2 trays for 2”x3” for 3x slides, 1 tray for 3”x4” for 1x slides, 1 tray for 4”x5” for 1x slides to accommodate the less commonly used sizes.
