New staff member Dr Praju Vikas Anekal joins BIRU

20 October 2016

Dr Praju Vikas Anekal has 12 years of experience in cell biology imaging with a particular focus on the cell cytoskeleton. He did his Ph.D. at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Singapore. He then did his Postdoctoral training at the University of California at San Diego for 3 years before returning to Singapore for 3 further years as a Senior Research Fellow.

His research is largely based on various optical microscopy techniques (live cell imaging, super resolution microscopy, micro-patterning substrates) and increasingly on quantitative cell biology.

Praju is brimming with ideas and is always up for a good discussion. He wants to ‘spread the word’ on quantifying your images and would be happy to discuss ideas and strategies with you from assay development, sample preparation, imaging strategies to image analysis and data visualization.

Praju's principal responsibilities will be looking after the Molecular Devices ImageXpress high content screening system and the Bruker MALDI-TOF imaging mass spectrometer. Praju's contact details are given below.
