Welcome to the website of the Mental Health and Addiction Board of Governance.

Mental health and addiction teaching and research is carried out in a variety of departments, centres, schools and faculties at the University of Auckland. Our postgraduate programmes/courses in mental health and addiction, in particular, are offered to graduates in a variety of areas including medicine, psychology, nursing, health sciences, education and social work. These programmes also cater for people already working professionally in primary health care, public health, Maori health, Pacific health, community mental health, rehabilitation and social services.

In addition we offer research opportunities for postgraduate students in a variety of areas in mental health and addiction. This website provides access to all mental health and addiction postgraduate programmes offered in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Education. It also provides information about mental health and addiction research undertaken by academic staff and postgraduate students in these faculties, as well as information about our research centres.
