What is an Expression of Interest?

The Learning Technology Unit now accepts expressions of interest (EOIs) for technology enhanced/technology enabled elearning projects.

Projects can support innovative teaching in a range of contexts and modalities, including face-to-face, blended and online teaching. Only projects related to undergraduate and postgraduate courses are eligible. The minimum timeframe for most projects is eight (8) months from EOI submission to project launch.

Examples of e-learning projects include:

  • Conversion of courses for flexible/distance delivery,
  • Transforming in-class or clinical teaching through the use of particular technologies
  • Creating media rich resources to supplement face-to-face-teaching.

The submission process consists of filling in an online Expression of Interest (EOI) form and submitting it to the Learning Technology Unit (see below). This form provides LTU staff with details of the flexible, distance learning, or technology-enhanced learning project that you wish to start.

Click here to access the online EOI form. Only submissions using the online form will be reviewed.

If you have any questions please contact John  Egan via email (j.egan@auckland.ac.nz).

You can use the folllowing  expression of interest template to develop your online submission.

What happens to my submission of interest?

All EOI submissions are reviewed by LTU staff, then they are prioritised, in conjunction with the Associate Dean, Academic. You will be contacted by the LTU once all EOIs have been reviewed. This will happen approximately one month after the closing date. If your submission is successful, we will contact you to arrange an initial project meeting.

We anticipate accepting approximately around half of the proposals received due to staffing limitations within the Unit.
