Enhancing Recovery After Surgery Multidisciplinary Course
he Auckland Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Group in conjunction with the Advanced Clinical Skills Centre (ACSC) of the University of Auckland hosts an annual course on Enhancing Recovery After Surgery. This multidisciplinary course covers surgical, anaesthetic, nursing and allied health perspectives and focuses on:
- Optimal preparation of the surgical patient
- Optimal anaesthesia and fluid therapy
- Optimal surgical techniques
- Optimal nutrition
- Optimal ward care and mobilisation
- Implementation and other practical aspects
The next course will be held in early 2014.
