Description


The aim of this course is to provide an understanding of visual information processing by the visual pathways (retino-geniculate-striate system) and the physiology of other ocular components. It takes a problem-oriented approach, which develops students' skills in reading, analysing and debated scientific papers in the vision sciences, will be used to achieve a high level of critical thinking and problem solving skills.

It is expected that students will acquire the ability to seek, evaluate and retrieve scientific information on which to base their clinical practice. Clear and concise communication of scientific information both in written and oral form will be required.
