Anatomy of Head and Neck - summary overview

This summary is not intended to be a complete account of all what a medical student needs to know about the anatomy of the head and neck. However, these notes should be used in conjunction with the lecture notes and the recommended textbook for the course "Clinically Oriented Anatomy".

Acknowledgment

I would like to acknowledge with thanks the excellent work of Mr. Hadley Wickham in preparing the initial version of this summary, during his third year medical course in 1999. During the revisions and edition, I tried to maintain the special style he adopted.

"Things to know", at the end of section has been prepared by Professor Emeritus JB Carman.
