Privacy Statement – Human Body Bequest Programme at the University of Auckland
We prioritise safeguarding donor privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020, Information Privacy Principles (IPPs), and Health Information Privacy Code 2020. We collect and store personal information, including registration details and health data, for specific purposes such as programme acceptance, safety, and education.
Personal information is treated with the utmost confidentiality, and security measures are in place to prevent unauthorised access. We may share health information with Next of Kin or Executors when declining a bequest. Data retention is based on necessity, and information is disposed of securely, or anonymised in compliance with regulations.
