School of Population Health

Health Systems

The Health Systems Section of the School of Population Health is involved in health services research and education. There are 15 people in the section, including  full-time academics, research and teaching fellows, plus ten PhD thesis candidates, and Masters and Honours students. See Current staff for details. We also regularly host visiting academics and students from other countries.

The section is multi-disciplinary and includes expertise in health economics, health policy and management, health services research, programme evaluation, organisational behaviour, systems modelling, and medical and health ethics.

Our aim is to advance understanding of the structure, processes and effects of health services and health policy, with a view to the more effective management and delivery of services and a more efficient and equitable health system.

Any enquiries should be addressed to the Head of Section: Associate Professor Tim Tenbensel.
