Perceptions of Arthritis Study

Dr Vicky Tai - PhD Candidate

Professor Nicola Dalbeth - Principal Investigator

Associate Professor Greg Gamble - Co-Investigator

We are seeking volunteers for a research study at the University of Auckland investigating how the general public think about a common type of arthritis.

Participants will watch a 3-minute video on the type of arthritis we are studying, then complete a questionnaire about their perceptions of the condition. Participants may choose to watch the video and complete the questionnaire online over Zoom, or they may choose to attend the Clinical Research Centre at the University of Auckland’s Grafton Campus to complete the study in person. Participants will watch the video and complete the questionnaire with the study researcher.

To thank participants for their contribution to the research, they will be given a $30 supermarket voucher at the end of the study.

To be eligible for the study you must be aged over 18 years and be able to read and complete a questionnaire in English. Health professionals or students enrolled in a health-related course/degree would not be eligible to take part.

The study is being conducted by researchers within the Bone & Joint Research Group at the University of Auckland. The study has been approved by the Auckland Health Research Ethics Committee.

Recruitment is ongoing for this study
