Doctoral programmes

A doctorate is an advanced course of independent study and original research and is presented in the form of a thesis. The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) may be taken within any department of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.

Findathesis is a database where you can search for doctoral research projects that are currently available, along with contact information for all academic staff involved. You are welcome to contact the staff involved for further information about these projects. They may ask you to submit a doctoral AfA for review in order to assess your suitability for the project. Please be aware that it is not guaranteed that you will be selected for the project even if you have submitted an AfA.
