Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences in Palliative Care

The Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences (PGCertHSc), specialising in Palliative Care is offered to doctors, nurses and other health professionals working in this area.

Programme structure

Students are required to complete 60 points from the following available courses:

  • POPLPRAC 772: Symptom Management in Palliative Care (30 points)
  • POPLPRAC 773: Challenges in Symptom Management in Palliative Care (30 points)
  • POPLHLTH 777: Ethics and Societal Approaches to Death (30 points)
  • POPLPRAC 774: Psychosocial Issues in Palliative Care (30 points)  

IMPORTANT: Students must complete 30pts from POPLPRAC 774 or POPLHLTH 777 and 30pts from POPLRAC 772 or POPLPRAC 773*
