Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences in Alcohol and Drug Studies

The Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences, specialising in Alcohol and Drug Studies, is intended for those working professionally in alcohol and drug or mental health settings. 

A limited number of fully funded places are available for applicants who meet certain criteria.  

The programme may be completed part-time in one year with eight two-day campus teaching blocks, or part-time in two years with 16 days on campus (four campus days per course over four semesters).

This specialisation is offered by the School of Population Health. Courses are offered in a Flexible learning format.

Students are required to enrol in and complete the following courses:

  • POPLHLTH 737 - Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Studies (15 Points)
  • POPLPRAC 707 - Theory and Skills in Counselling Practice (15 Points)
  • POPLPRAC 708 - Assessment and Intervention with Addiction (30 Points)
