This study is examining the impacts of large scale rapid industrialisation on health risks, behaviours and long-term conditions in different population groups in PNG. It is being developed and conducted through the PNG Institute of Medical Research, in association with researchers at the University of PNG, the University of Queensland, Tokyo University and The University of Auckland. Associate Professor Chris Bullen (NIHI) and Professor Robert Scragg (Epidemiology & Biostatistics) are members of the Scientific Advisory Committee for the study. - Operational research teaching
The International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (‘The Union’) is collaborating with School of Population Health and with Fiji National University to run week-long teaching courses in Operational Research for health programme managers in the Pacific, based in Suva, Fiji. Associate Professor Chris Bullen (NIHI) and Dr Bridget Kool (Epidemiology & Biostatistics) have taught on these courses.
