Introducing the members of the GMSH research group team.


Peter Saxton
BSoc Sci (hons) MPhil (hons) PhD

  • Peter leads the Gay Men’s Sexual Health research group and is the inaugural NZAF Fellow at Auckland University.
  • He has worked in HIV public health policy, research and community-based prevention since 1997.


Adrian Ludlam

  • Adrian gained his MSc in Control of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
  • He joined the GMSH research group in 2013 having previously worked for the AIDS Epidemiology Group at the University of Otago.
  • Adrian’s research focus is on the biological and behavioural drivers of HIV and STI spread through the MSM population.
