It was standing room only at the celebration marking the 2010 Butland Teaching Awards at Grafton on Thursday 26th August. The four Butland Awards went to five recipients this year, with the judging panel being unable to separate two excellent nominations for the Butland Early Career Excellence in Teaching category. These winners were Dr Fiona Kelly (School of Pharmacy) and Dr Dipika Patel (School of Medicine, Department of Opthalmology). The other winners recognised were Associate Professor Toni Ashton (School of Population Health, Butland Award for Sustained Excellence in Teaching), Professor Louise Nicholson (School of Medical Sciences, Butland Award for Excellence in Research Supervision) and Dr Janet Clinton (School of Population Health—Butland Award for Excellence in Education Leadership).
