Research aim

The aim of the study is to develop an understanding of key issues around the pathway of care for men with metastatic prostate cancer in New Zealand, particularly for Maori and Pacific men. This will be achieved through: reviewing the incidence of distant stage prostate cancer, looking at differences in treatment, care management, and drug use, post diagnosis. Access to and quality of care will be compared with other ethnic groups to identify differences and to examine the comparative costs of treatment.
