2011 Summer Student Symposium winners!


2011 Summer Student Symposium winners - First Prize

The 2011 Summer Student Symposium was held at the Marion Davis centre on Friday 25th February, with fourteen students giving presentations on their Summer projects. The presentations were judged by Professor John Fraser (Head of School of Medical Sciences) and Professor Louise Nicholson.

First Prize:

Sarah Tait - Antibody diffusion and penetration in AMD treatment.
1st year Optometry student.
Department of Ophthalmology.
Supervisor - Ilva Rupenthal.

 

2011 Summer Student Symposium winners - Highly Commended

Two Highly Commended prizes went to:

Lucy Liu - Utility of a latent heat device for the management of meibomian gland dysfunction.
2nd year Optometry student.
Department of Ophthalmology.
Supervisor - Jennifer Craig.

Jinlong Zhang - Colour and shape discrimination in honeybee.
2nd year Optometry student.
Department of Optometry and Vision Science.
Supervisor - Misha Vorobyev.
