“I decided to study this undergraduate degree because I am passionate about issues like health inequity, and racial and ethnic, social and environmental justice. “I am taking the degree with a general focus on population health, and havechosen papers in health promotion and population health nutrition.

“What I like about this programme is how comprehensive it is in regards to which papers you are able to take, as you are able to select papers from social science, science and arts. This had been great because it has helped maintain my interest and motivation and provides an interdisciplinary approach which is valuable in public health.

“I am looking to do more postgraduate study, with a focus on population health research in the potential areas of Māori health, health promotion, population health nutrition and climate change."
