Brain Research New Zealand (BRNZ) is a collaborative neuroscience Centre of Research Excellence (CoRE), funded by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC). The CoRE aggregates researchers from the University of Otago, AUT University, the University of Auckland and the University of Canterbury.

New Zealand is recognised as a hub of world-class brain research and the creation of BRNZ is an acknowledgement by the government and the scientific community of this capability by encouraging scientific collaboration and cooperation that leads to the development of visionary new avenues of research.

Our vision is to engage our community through consultation, collaboration and implementation.
