Childcare

There are childcare facilities across all campuses. Find out more about childcare facilities at Grafton Campus. In addition to the early childhood centres at Grafton, there are changing mat facilities in the disabled toilets by the Student Commons.

Computer Assisted Learning for the Mind (CALM)

CALM is an online resource for practising mindfulness and developing holistic mental wellness. You can access this resource on the CALM website.

Counselling

If you’re struggling with stress, mental illness, a difficult life situation or just need someone to talk to, we encourage you to make use of our free counselling services available to all students. Counselling sessions are based at City Campus, with the Grafton clinic operating a few days a week.

Disability services

Student Disability Services provides support for students with a wide range of impairments, both visible and invisible. Find out more about the services on offer.

Filming request form

Students or external parties wishing to film or take photos on Grafton Campus must request permission. Photography and filming permissions for external use covers the normal equipment and extends to photographs and video taken on a mobile phone.

Food on campus

At Grafton Campus, you can enjoy a range of cafe meals, snacks and drinks at Superfino Cafe. The licensed cafeteria complex provides the faculty's students and staff with a place to both study and socialise. Open Monday-Thursday 7.30am-6pm and Friday 7.30am-7pm.

There are also vending machines, hot water and a microwave in the Student Lounge behind the cafe (available during Philson opening hours).

Justices of the Peace and Notary services

Dr Adrian Blaser is a Justice of the Peace based at the Grafton Campus. Drop-in sessions are on Tuesdays, 12-1pm. Go to the small meeting room 505-110b (inside the Deanery/School of Medical Sciences administration area). No appointment necessary. Please also provide your own copies of original documentation. JP services include: Certifying copies, Statutory Declarations, Affidavits, Witnessing of signature.

Dr Deborah Schlichting is a JP based at Auckland Hospital, Building 599, level 12, room 12035. Appointments can be made via email.

Lockers

Lockers are available for students at Grafton Campus and are located in building 503 by the student kitchen and the Robb Lecture Theatre in the basement area. These are free and are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. To claim an unused locker, simply place your own padlock on a locker.

All lockers must be emptied for the summer. 

Coin operated lockers are also available outside some teaching labs.

Optometry Clinic

Located at Grafton Campus, the Optometry Clinic offers free eye tests for University of Auckland and AUT students. Find out more at the Optometry Clinic's website.

Parents room

There is a Parents Room available at Grafton Campus for all our faculty staff and students who need to prepare formula, feed or breastfeed their infants, or who need to express breastmilk.

Showers

Men's and women's showers are located on Grafton Campus in the basement of Building 503, near the main entrance of the Robb Lecture Theatre.

Student associations
