Booking a room


Grafton Campus

Students may book a room at Grafton for appropriate group activities where spaces are available. To make a booking complete and email the room request form.

Please note that if you are wishing to book a room for after hours (after 6pm) there is an additional safety checklist that is requried to be completed. Please email the completed form along with your room request form above. For your information all Unisafe staff are first aid trained.

Tamaki Campus

To book a breakout room at the School of Population Health contact the school's reception on Level 2.

Cafés


In addition to the campus cafés, there are vending machines in the Student Centre Commons and Student Lounge, hot water and microwave in the Student Lounge behind the café (available during Philson opening hours).

There are a range of services and facilities offered at each of our Campuses and a guide to findng a room.

Childcare


In addition to the early childhood centres at Grafton, there are changing mat facilities in the disabled toilet next to the faculty Student Centre. The University also offers information on Childcare.

Finding a room at Tamaki Campus (School of Population Health)


The weekly lecture timetable and room information for all postgraduate and undergraduate classes is displayed on the noticeboard near the School of Population Health reception on Level 2.

Health and safety


All students are required to wear white coats for laboratory teaching by health and safety. White coats can be purchased from Medical Books.

Lockers


Grafton Campus

Lockers are available for students at Grafton Campus and are locatednext to the Student Centre or by the Robb Lecture Theatre in the basement area. These are free and are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. You must register your locker with the faculty's Student Centre.

All lockers must be emptied for the summer. The deadline for this is 15 December.

Tamaki Campus

Lockers are available for students at the School of Population Health with a deposit of $5. Please apply at the School of Population Health reception on level 2.

Parking


There is currently no parking available for students at Grafton Campus but there are a number of parking options available. For further details, see Parking.

Prayer space


There is no prayer space available at Grafton Campus. However, an agreement has been reached with Auckland City Hospital for our staff and students to use the Multi Faith (including Muslim) Prayer Space on Level 6 of Auckland Hospital. There is also a newly completed prayer space for Muslim Students on the City Campus.

Tamaki Campus

Prayer rooms are available at the Tāmaki Innovation Campus and are for anyone from any religious denomination.

Showers


Men's and women's showers located in the basement of Building 503, near the main entrance of the Robb lecture theatre.

Smoking


Grafton Campus is a no smoking campus. All staff and students should refrain from smoking anywhere on the grounds.
