Final reporting

Students are required to submit a final project report which signifies the completion of the scholarship. The report should be accompanied by a short covering letter from your supervisor commenting on the research conducted and your performance. Please use the template below to prepare the report, adhering to the word or page limits specified for each section. If your scholarship was supported by an external funder we will forward them a copy of your report.

Deadline for submission of the report and supervisor letter is Friday 09 March 2018. Both can be emailed together, as one PDF document, to healthresearch@auckland.ac.nz. Full submission instructions are included on the reporting template.

Submission of a satisfactory report by the deadline date is necessary to recieve the final portion of the scholarship stipend. Payments will usually be made in March following processing and review of the reports.

Wallath Prizes

Every year the faculty awards prizes to the top student report in each of the 3 project categories (Biomedical, Clinical and Public Health), each prize of $750 is kindly provided by the Wallath Trust. Nominated entries will be judged by a faculty assessment committee in March and prizes conferred during a summer scholarships awards ceremony which usually takes place in April. In assessing the report reviewers will be asked to consider the quality of the following, with more weight given to the first 3 components - scientific content, clarity of thought, significance to health summary, abstract, personal gain/career development & supervisor comments.

To nominate your report for a prize your supervisor will need to tick the appropriate box on the front page of the report template. They can then utilise the supervisor letter to detail their reasons for the nomination.
