The Royal Society of New Zealand is now calling for Fellowship and Honorary Fellowship nominations for 2018.

The Royal Society want to ensure that their fellowship remains relevant through taking a modern view of excellence in intellectual endeavour. As such, the Academy Executive Committee is focused on increasing the diversity of nominations from under-represented groups, particularly with respect to gender, ethnicity and employment context.

With 2018 marking the 125th anniversary of suffrage in New Zealand, the Royal Society are seeking to maximise the number of female nominees. The goal is to induct up to 20 female Fellows in 2019 (through the 2018 process).

Who can nominate? The Royal Society has now opened up who can make a nomination. Please see their website for further information.

How? A web portal has been set up to receive new and updated nominations. If you wish to submit a new nomination, send an email and you will be provided with access to the web portal. Please feel free to contact us if you need any support with the nomination process.

When? Nominations close on Thursday 29 March 2018.
