The Health Research Council has announced a $2mil initiative that will fund research investigating better strategies to support Māori and Pacific youth with mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and bipolar affective disorders. The fund is allied to the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases (GACD).

The $2mil is expected to fund several initiatives.

The HRC Gateway is open now to receive registrations.

Interest must be registered by 1pm, Monday May 15 2017.

On Monday May 8th HRC will release fund guidelines outlining in more detail, elegibility criteria. Please note that the attachment titled ‘GACD Mental Health Call.0’ details the global alliance guidelines but HRC will publish guidelines specific to the HRC funding round. Proposals to the HRC should demonstrate alignment to the global fund.

The deadline for full submissions is 1pm on Friday June 2nd.
