Medicines New Zealand Value of Medicines Award 2017

Medicines New Zealand has been offering an annual award since 2011 to reward an outstanding piece of research into the Value of Medicines.

Medicines New Zealand is the industry association representing companies engaged in the research, development, manufacture and marketing of prescription medicines.

Purpose:
The Value of Medicines Award aims to support continuing advancement in medical science within the context of the healthcare system. The Award recognises innovative research which improves the understanding, effectiveness or safety of the use of medicines or vaccines in New Zealand within the context of public health or the healthcare system. The Award is to be used to support the continuation, or development of a new research programme into a related area of research.

Value:
The Award will take the form of a single cash payment of $20,000.
