Call for Nominations Prince Mahidol Award Foundation

Nominations are being invited for the Prince Mahidol Award Foundation. Two awards will be granted on an annual basis, one in medical and one in public health, each prize worth US$100,000. Submission deadline is 31 May 2017.

In commemoration of the Centenary of the Birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla on January 1st, 1992, a foundation, named the Prince Mahidol Award Foundation,was established in his honour to bestow international award, Prince Mahidol Award, upon individuals or institutions which have made outstanding and exemplary contributions to the advancement of medical, public health and human services in the world.

Two Prince Mahidol Awards will be conferred on an annual basis, one in medical and one in public health. Each has a prize worth US$100,000  plus a medal and a certificate. A Committee, consisting of world renowned scientists and public health experts, will recommend the selection of awardees whose nominations should be submitted to the Secretary – General of the Foundation before May 31st of each year.

The Prince Mahidol Award ceremony will be held in Bangkok and presided over by His Majesty the King of Thailand who is the nephew of Prince Mahidol and has graciously granted Royal Patronage to the Foundation.
