Call for Abstracts and Registration - Interprofessional Education Showcase

Incorporating Interprofessional and Collaborative Practice into the Curriculum

23 and 24 November 2017

Venue: Grafton Campus, University of Auckland

This biennial forum is an opportunity to present evidence of the benefits of Interprofessional Education (IPE) from new and established projects. The forum is well attended and is an excellent opportunity to network within the IPE research community. This year’s theme is Incorporating Interprofessional and Collaborative Practice into the Curriculum

DAY 1 -Thursday 23 November 2017

Attend or present at the IPE Showcase

The Showcase is a full day of fascinating presentations from a wide range of presenters from around the country. The Showcase is a free event. This year the Showcase will also include a presentation from invited guest speaker Assoc. Prof. Roger Dunston (see below). A light lunch, morning and afternoon teas are provided for all attendees – so please register your interest to attend for catering purposes, even if you do not wish to present.

Please submit an abstract of 250 words by the 9th Oct 2017, with a title, presenter’s name and institution. Please plan your talk to be 20 minutes long to allow for around 10 minutes of questions at the end. Please submit your abstract by email to Craig Webster as below. Not all submitted abstracts may be accepted for presentation. Spaces may be limited. A programme will be distributed before the day and all accepted abstracts will appears in an abstracts book.

DAY 2 - Friday 24 November 2017

Attend the IPE Workshop with invited speaker Assoc. Prof. Roger Dunston

This year we are pleased to have invited guest Assoc. Prof. Roger Dunston participating in our IPE event. In addition to his guest talk on the first day, he will be running a half-day Workshop on Day 2. Roger Dunston is the lead for a nationally funded IPE project in Australia entitled Securing an Interprofessional Future (see https://sifproject.com/). The workshop will cover key aspects of the incorporation of interprofessional learning and collaborative practice into curricula and its sustainability – pressing problems for all IPE initiatives. Attendance at the workshop will cost NZ$100 per person – a payment and registration form follows on the next page.
