Professional Staff Awards ceremony held at FMHS

The 2012 FMHS Professional Staff Awards were held in the new atrium at the Grafton Campus on Thursday November 22. A large audience of both professional and academic staff was on hand to see four awards being presented this year and to celebrate with recipients.

Nick Duggan, Manager, Medical Sciences Learning Centre - School of Medical Sciences

Recognising professionalism in support of the faculty’s mission as Manager of the Auckland Medical Research Foundation Medical Sciences Learning Centre and Nick’s provision of enduring support of The Human Anatomy Labs and related functions for our faculty.


Val Grey, Graphic Designer - FMHS

Recognising Val’s continued professionalism and innovation in support of staff and students graphic requirements across the faculty, and Val’s role as a print advisor across the wider University.

Special Achievement Awards 2012

Chris Zhu, Programme Administrator – School of Population Health

This award recognises a great deal of innovative work to develop real-time bar-code scanning software which interfaces with Cecil to confirm student identity


Karen Dorrian, International Development Manager, Johanna Beattie, Personal Assistant &Yvonne Marren, International Student Assistant - FMHS Administration

This award recognises the outstanding organisation and running of the International U21 Health Sciences Meeting by this group. The conference involved more than 80 attendees and was a great success for both our faculty and our University
