Central Plant Building – Western Side

Central plant services are now operating. This services tower will be finished in metal cladding and this is now due to commence. The civil site works to the western side of Building 504 is 80% complete. All the current work in this area should be complete by the end of May 2011. A large mobile crane will be operating from the loading dock area late pm Thursday the 14th and all day on the 15th April 2011 lifting equipment up on to the roof of Building 502.

Boyle Building – Eastern Side

The Building envelope is virtually complete and the services fit-out are well underway throughout the Building. Work will commence around the Boyle Crescent side of the building with the re-establishment of ground levels up against the new building. We plan to complete drainage connection work in the University Main Quad Area over the next two weeks and this area will be protected with Security Fencing. University Campus Fire Alarm testing will be taking place from 0830hrs to 0930 hrs on Saturday the 9th April 2011 . Total completion of the Boyle Building is planned for the end of September 2011.

Redevelopment of the internal areas within the existing University Buildings

Work is continuing in six different areas within the existing Buildings as part of an ongoing redevelopment process and this will continue for years to come with the site containers / site offices in Park Avenue being part of this process. We will have four areas in two different buildings due for completion mid April 2011 and Building 503 Basement is presently going through a demolition phase.
