Staff and students are invited to take part in the Great Kiwi Science Bake-Off, a baking competition to raise money for the Cancer Society. Get creative and enter your best science and/or health themed baking - there will be prizes for the winners!
How to enter
Bring your baking along to the Grafton Atrium between 9-9.30am on 1 April. Entry is free of charge and your entry must align with a science or health theme.
Three independent judges will judge each entry based on aesthetics, taste, texture and innovation. There are two themed categories: science and health.
By entering you agree to donate your entry to the ACSRC relay for life team fundraising effort. You may purchase your entry for $20 if you don’t want us to sell it.
Eligibility
- The entrant must be a staff member (Honoury/Emeritus/contract or permanent) or registered student within FMHS (or registered for MedSci papers as part of their degree) at the University of Auckland.
- Individuals, groups, research teams, centres, disciplines or departments within the faculty can submit one or more entries.
- Your entry must be edible and have been created by yourself or your team, although you may purchase components like fondant or ribbon.
- Information must be provided if there are inedible parts (supports, decorations etc.)
- The entry can be any size as long as it can rest on a trestle table.
Get creative, have fun, and may the best baker win!
