Falls remain a significant risk to independent, successful ageing. Identifying and managing falls risk is challenging due to the multifaceted nature of falls. This seminar draws on international and national expertise to update knowledge concerning falls risk, the phenomenon of falls, strategies for management, achievementand challenges. Presentations include the neuroscience of falls (intersection between gait & cognition), the changing nature of falls, current best evidence for intervention, and national initiatives to manage falls.
