Seelye Visiting Fellow Professor Catherine DeAngelis , a Johns Hopkins University Distinguished Service Professor Emerita has been described as one of the most influential voices in modern medicine.

The Seelye Fellow public lecture Professor DeAngelis will give is titled “Patient Care and Professionalism”. This topic extends from her work at Johns Hopkins where she helped to reshape the medical school curriculum to include immediate contact with patients, as well as studies in empathy and compassion traits she considers just as critical for a physician as scientific knowledge.
