In Indigenous health settings, culturally-safe practice is a necessary precursor of clinically-effective practice. Yet engaging with uncertainty and the social determinants of health is challenging for a cohort of students reporting a ‘concrete’ mind-set/solutions-focussed preference. We examine a strategy of taking student’s own questions and deconstructing them to foreground the role of language in perpetuating stereotypes and camouflaging racialised assumptions.
