Molecular Medicine & Pathology seminar: Genetic characterization of inherited eye disease Event as iCalendar

16 May 2013

3:30 - 4:30pm

Venue: Seminar Room 501-505, Building 501, 85 Park Road, Grafton

The presentation will give an overview of the work conducted in the Genetic Eye Disease Investigation (GEDI) laboratory relating to the genetics of the anterior segment of the eye - a unique corneal dystrophy with the process of new gene identification, the genetics of keratoconus, and ADAMTSL4 analysis in a group of “marfanoid” FBN1 negative patients. A registry of inherited retinal disorders has also been established and the work presented will demonstrate how this contributes to the knowledge of the genetic and phenotypic heterogeneity of these disorders.
