Venue: Seminar Room 503-024, Building 503, 85 Park Road, Grafton

Are you a PhD student in the faculty and are finding it quite challenging to deal with the question:

So what next after your PhD??!

Come along to the academic function organised by the FMHS-PGSA on the 1st of March from 10.30am to 12pm and hear out exciting stories from FMHS’ academics and recent graduates who have taken up different roles after their PhD. Each talk will be followed by a discussion round, so there will be plenty opportunity to discuss about the good, bad, and ugly of the different career paths which you have decided or will decide to take.

Speakers of the session are:

  • Professor Peter Shepherd, MMP (PhD, Academic Scientist, Director of NZBio)
  • Graeme Fielder, Liggins Institute (PhD, enrolled for an MBA+ CEO of LabTrader NZ)
  • Associate Professor Larry Chamley, Department of Obst/Gyn (PhD, Academic Scientist)
