Sir Peter Gluckman the Prime Minister’s Chief Science Advisor and The University of Auckland in association with the Royal Society of New Zealand bring you a special opportunity to hear Sir Paul Nurse speak.

Sir Paul Nurse is the President of the

Royal Society UK

. In 1999 he was honoured with knighthood in Great Britain for services in cancer research and cell biology and since 2000 has been a member of the UK Council for Science and Technology advising the prime minister. From December 2010 Sir Paul has held the position of President of the Royal Society, and throughout his career Sir Paul has received a number of prestigious awards including the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 2001 and the Royal Society Copley Medal in 2005.
