The prediction of treatment response to antidepressant medications Professor Rob Kydd Professor
Rob Kydd is Head of the Department of Psychological Medicine and co-leader of the Psychopharmacology and Neurodynamics Group in the CBR. His talk will outline the clinical presentation of depression and anxiety disorders and describe current work examining biomarkers for the prediction of response to antidepressant drugs.
Identifying new targets to treat depression and anxiety Associate Professor Bronwen Connor
Bronwen Connor leads the Neurogenesis and Neural Repair Group in the CBR. Her talk will provide an overview of the group’s recent work investigating new targets for the treatment of depression and anxiety, with particular focus on the role of the neurosteroid allopregnanolone and HPA axis dysfunction.
