Nutritional therapy is now accepted as first line therapy for newly diagnosed Crohn’s disease in children. Although this therapy has proven efficacy, the mechanisms leading to these benefits have not been well described. This work focuses on the putative mechanisms of this therapy and explores how these new data may provide clue to the pathogenesis of Crohn’s disease.
