Associate Professor Weller took on the leadership of the CMHSE in 2004. Her research interests include simulation-based education, workplace assessment, research around medical error and interventions to improve safety, crisis management and team training and interprofessional learning.

A/Prof Weller introduced the post-graduate programme in Clinical Education in Auckland University and co-ordinates several courses. She instructs on Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists’ Effective Management of Anaesthetic Crises (EMAC) course, of which she was an original author, and leads the NZ training programme for EMAC instructors. A/Prof Weller is an examiner for the Final Examination for ANZCA.
