Supervision
Students undertaking postgraduate research in a relevant area may request a supervisor
in Pacific Health to guide them through the
process.
To apply for supervision, ask one of the academic staff
if they have a suitable project and are willing to supervise you.

Support for Pacific Health students
Nuhisifa Seve-Williams, (PhD, MA (hons), BA, Dip Labour Studies) is able to assist
Pacific students academically in programmes across the FMHS and organises events
for Pacific students in her role as Pacific Health Student Adviser.
If you are taking a Pacific Health course, you will meet her but she welcomes contact
from other students as well.

MāAori and Pacific Admission Scheme (MAPAS)
MAPAS
is a supportive environment and structure where students, their whānau and
staff accept a commitment to academic achievement within a Māori/Pacific context.
MAPAS is available to FMHS applicants with indigenous Māori or Pacfic ancestry and
provides support during study within the CertHSc, Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine and
Health Sciences programmes of the FMHS.
