History

Between 1992 and 2006, the Injury Prevention Research Centre (IPRC), a research centre within The University of Auckland, published a range of reports, fact sheets and other publications on a variety of injury topics. At the end of 2006, the IPRC was disestablished. Injury prevention research at the University continues within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences based Injury & Trauma Research Group.

The Injury Prevention Information Centre, previously the Information and Resource Unit of the Injury Prevention Research Centre (IPRC), works closely with injury prevention researchers at The University of Auckland. The Injury Prevention Information Centre ensures that the valuable contribution to injury pevention made by the IPRC is not lost by retaining copies of all publicly available IPRC publications in the library collection. Electronic copies of fact sheets, reports and the New Zealand Injury Control Bulletin are available either on this website, or via the IPLit database.
