What is INZED?

  • A current, searchable Injury Contacts Database

The Injury Prevention Information Centre has developed an online database of injury contacts to replace the National Injury Resource Directory (NIRD). The Injury New Zealand e-Directory (INZED) is a resource for all those working in the injury prevention sector. It enables community workers, researchers, policy analysts and others, working in specific injury prevention fields to make contact. It also enables people working in different fields of injury prevention in the same geographic location to network more effectively. People working on injury prevention with Māori, or Pacific people or any other specific group, are particularly encouraged to contribute to the database to ensure their work with these target groups is recognised. The database is updated as soon as new or amended contact information is received.
  • A printable Injury Contacts Directory (updated periodically)

The Injury New Zealand Directory in a printable, pdf format is based on information supplied by individuals to the electronic database. The latest edition includes contact details for almost 400 people working in injury prevention in Aotearoa / New Zealand. In this format the directory can be downloaded as a file to your computer or printed for quick reference. The current 4th edition is available as a printed book - limited stock - free copy available on request.

It is updated on a six monthly basis. For the most up to date contact information, please search the online INZED database.

Are you in the INZED database?

If you would like to be included in the database, and future editions of the directory, please download and complete the INZED Contacts Form (DOC, 231 KB). Return by email: injury@auckland.ac.nz or fax: (09) 373 7624.  Please contact the Injury Prevention Information Centre if you cannot download this form.

Thank you to all those who have agreed to be included in the directory. Please contact us if your details need updating.

Production and maintenance of this directory is made possible through Ministry of Health funding and is aligned to the objectives of the New Zealand injury Prevention Strategy.
