School of Population Health Collaborations with other gambling centres and foundations

National collaborations

CGS is actively developing collaborations with community groups, Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), government agencies and other research organisations. It has a close relationship with the Problem Gambling Foundation of New Zealand and has developed a number of collaborative projects in the areas of treatment research, health promotion research, community and workforce development. CGS is also developing project relationships with a number of district and city councils, territorial local authorities, and Maori, Pacific and Asian providers.

International collaborations

If you are a potential research collaborator or sponsor (national or international), we would be interested in hearing from you. We are particularly interested in expressions of interest for potential collaboration in the following areas:

  • dommunity development
  • health promotion
  • harm minimisation
  • treatment
  • social and economic impact studies
  • cultural
  • longitudinal outcome studies
  • gambling and new technologies
  • public policy
  • regulation including enforcement, industry standards and responsibilities, gambling codes of practice, gambling marketing and advertising, special populations including first nations, women, youth, elders, and prison populations.
