The University of Auckland is New Zealand’s leading university and is the only one ranked among the world’s top 200 universities by the Times Higher Education World Rankings of Universities. It is also the highest ranked New Zealand university in the QS World University Rankings and the Shanghai Jiao Tong Academic Ranking of World Universities.
This is no mean feat, as there are over 7,000
universities throughout the world. The School of Pharmacy is proud to have made
significant contributions to this ranking.
International and national rankings
Since our inception in 2000, we have set up world class postgraduate programmes
offering Research Masters and PhD students the opportunity to be supervised by
experts in their field. Our academic staff have been successful in bringing in
research funding from national and international sources and have significant
research collaborations overseas. 2011/2012 see us updating our Research
Strategy, with our aim of building on our established international reputation
for the quality of our research, and making it relevant to New Zealand. We are
fortunate to be in a University and a Faculty that embraces research so
wholeheartedly and we invite you to share in the excitement and challenges ahead
as we strive to achieve our goals.
