The Department of Psychological Medicine is responsible for undergraduate teaching of psychiatry to medical students.

Postgraduate programmes in psychiatry are offered to graduates in Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Occupational Therapy and Social Work. Medically qualified graduates are able to apply for a postgraduate programme in Medical Science.
Postgraduate programmes in Psychiatry
Postgraduate programmes at the postgraduate diploma (PGDipSci), masterate (MSc) and doctorate (PhD) levels are available in Health Psychology.
The PGDipSci and MSc in Health Psychology are postgraduate programmes offered jointly by the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.
They are taught jointly by health psychologists working in the Department of Psychology (Faculty of Science) at the Tamaki Campus and in the Department of Psychological Medicine in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.

Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health certificate and diploma courses are offered to graduates in associated professions through the Department of Psychological Medicine.
