Prize in Nikon Small World Competition

Technician Cameron Johnson came 19th out of 120 finalists in the international Nikon Small World photomicrography competition, with his image of astrocytes in the rat retina, labelling Connexin 43 Gap Junctions (green) and GFAP (red). A scientifically informative image that is also a lovely piece of art.

Cameron has recently left the department to pursue a career in forensics.
