A 1-day course designed for general surgeons and their theatre nurses who are involved in the operative management of severe liver trauma.

Topics include:

• Anaesthetic and transfusion issues.
• The place of radiology advanced surgical techniques for damage and haemorrhage control in the animate lab.
• Structuring and leading the theatre team.

Enhancing Recovery After Surgery

This 1-day multidisciplinary course covers a range of topics that will show how Enhanced Recovery protocols can significantly improve postoperative recovery and reduce the risk of complications.

The topics include patient preparation, anaesthesia, surgical techniques, nutrition, ward care, mobilisation and much more.

You are strongly encouraged to participate with your team at this course.

The workshop will be held at the Heritage Auckland Hotel in order to accommodate up to 70 registrants.

This educational activity has been approved in the College's CPD Programme. Fellows who participate can claim one point per hour (maximum 4 points) in Category 4: Maintenance of Clinical Knowledge and Skills towards 2010 CPD totals.
