Open Stapling Workshop

A ½-day live surgical simulation workshop that is useful follow on for SET Trainees who have attended the ASSET Course.

This workshop will provide registrants with practical experience of opening and closing abdomens and gaining skills in surgical techniques such as using stapling devices & suturing. The combining of the techniques provides interaction with a nurse assistant too.

Open Hernia Repair Course

Introduction to Endoscopy Course

This 2-day course is designed for entry level Endoscopists about to begin either gastroenterological or surgical training.

It will cover information and technical skills for learning basic gastroscopy and colonoscopy. A wide range of topics will be covered for the entrant endoscopist, including sedation, monitoring and endoscopic techniques.

This course is a requirement if you are intending to work in the Gastroenterology Unit at Middlemore, Auckland City or North Shore Hospitals.
