This is the New Zealand Resuscitation Council’s (NZRC) prescribed Certificate of
Resuscitation and Emergency Care (CORE) course.
This course is run over eight hours and will train up to Level 7.

Assessment
The mastery style of assessment is the form of assessment predominantly utilised
during the course. Through using this style, specific targets are set and participants
are required to meet these during the programme.
Participants may pass each target
on their first attempt, or require several efforts to reach the required standards.
Preparation
Prerequisite reading material is the NZRC 2007 manual,
distributed six weeks prior to the course.
