This four hour Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course is designed as an annual update and revalidation programme for those who already hold a qualification in:
- Advanced Resuscitation
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
It is suitable for all
health professionals
working in acute settings who want greater
exposure to case simulation and to develop their confidence in managing medical
emergencies.

- Paramed Ltd.
Certification from other providers will be considered on application.
Pre-course
preparation
In order for participants to gain the most benefit, and to achieve the assessment
standards of the course, it is essential to complete the pre-course reading and the
pre-course multiple choice and ECG recognition tests prior to the
course.
Assessment
The mastery style of assessment is the form of assessment predominantly utilised
during the course. Through using this style, specific targets are set and participants
are required to meet these during the programme. Participants may pass each target
on their first attempt, or require several efforts to reach the required standards.
